Patricia Govea
Patricia Govea Collection — Tradition Reimagined
I partnered directly with Patricia Govea to design, develop, and launch a luxury Womenswear line that fused indigenous artistry with contemporary high fashion. The collection celebrated the intricate Huichol beadwork of Mexican artisans, translating heritage craft into statement garments priced between $800–$2,000. Working hands-on through every stage — from sketching and prototyping to factory production in China — I helped transform a cultural preservation mission into a refined brand narrative. Each piece reflected the duality of craft and couture, merging handmade textures with structured silhouettes designed for a global luxury audience.

Challenges
Bridging cultural authenticity and luxury fashion demanded both creative sensitivity and technical precision. Coordinating production between indigenous artisans and overseas manufacturers required reconciling different timelines, material standards, and communication styles. Maintaining the integrity of the beadwork — often created in remote regions — while ensuring quality consistency in large-scale fabrication tested both logistics and design adaptation. Beyond production, the challenge was positioning a culturally rich, ethically rooted brand for a high-end consumer base without losing the soul of its origin story. Then the challenge was finding a key sales item to fuel brand sales growth over the years. We found our niche in beaded accessories.
